Now with the new year I figured that it would be as good a time as any to try my hand at doing a 365 project. What is a 365 project you say? Well my friend, sit right down and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip. A 365 project is one where you (the aspiring photographer) takes one photo every day for an entire year. You can start it on Halloween, your birthday, your mothers birthday, or June 12th for all it matters. The point is once that date hits, you fire that shutter every single day. And it is then your choice to share those images with the world, your dog, or no one.
I however wanted to do something a little different. Some people will use a different camera every week. Which I can attest to is quite the feat! But I went with one specific medium. That being only using NEW film produced by The Impossible Project for Polaroid integral camera's. As of writing this I am 1 day shy of being two months in. And let me tell you, it has been nothing short of the hardest, easiest, and most eye opening experience of my photographic career thus far.
What I mean by that is there are days where I have to struggle to take that picture. Others where I get it out of the way so naturally that night falls upon me and I've forgotten that I already did it! Days when I am so uninspired that I just shoot a photo of what is on my desk. Others where I go through over a pack of film because I can't shoot enough!
I highly encourage you to give it a try! And don't be dispelled by having to start on the first of the year! Start tomorrow! Here are a few of my favorite images so far.
